  • Canberra indie-pop act Sesame Girl has signed with independent agency LOLA. Artists for live music and touring representation across Europe and the UK.
  • The band continues with Cult Artists for Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and stays with Cohort for label and management.
  • The deal lands as Sesame Girl promotes their new EP "Butterfly Wing in a Silver Locket," released August 7, 2026.
  • LOLA. Artists, founded by Jamie Wade in October 2025, keeps expanding its roster; Sesame Girl follows a recent addition like MARiMARi.

Canberra-formed indie-pop four-piece Sesame Girl has signed with LOLA. Artists for live music and touring representation across Europe and the UK.

Fronted by vocalist Heather Duncan, the band continues with Cult Artists for Australia, New Zealand, and Asia booking and stays with Cohort for label and management, the home that’s released the band’s music since its 2022 debut EP “Lucky Charm.”

The timing tracks with the band’s biggest push yet. Sesame Girl released “Butterfly Wing in a Silver Locket” on August 7, 2026, produced by Grammy-winning Simon Lam (known for work with Charli XCX, The Temper Trap, and Armlock).

Lead single “Superstar” earned coverage from Clash, with comparisons to The Cranberries, ahead of EP tracks “Kick in the Teeth” and “Rubberband.”

The band has supported Spacey Jane, Vacations, MAY-A, The Belair Lip Bombs, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, and British India, and played festivals including Spilt Milk and Yours and Owls.

LOLA. Artists launched in London in October 2025 after Wade left X-Ray Touring following two decades in the live industry, opening with a roster that included Kate Nash, We Are Scientists, Connie Constance, and Tennis. The agency has kept building since, most recently signing Liverpool’s MARiMARi in July.

Sesame Girl’s addition fits a broader 2026 pattern of European agencies moving on rising acts: Cherry Pick joined Upsurge Artists for the same territories in June, while Dead Pioneers signed with Primary Talent International ahead of their new album.

Takeaways

This is a “build the map, don’t redraw it” move. Sesame Girl isn’t touching their home-turf booking or their label relationship; they’re just filling the one gap (Europe/UK live representation) that’s been missing as international attention grows.

For a ten-month-old independent agency like LOLA., landing an Australian act with real festival pedigree and fresh critical buzz off a new EP is another data point that its build-out phase is working.

Does dedicated UK/EU representation set up a first overseas tour once “Butterfly Wing in a Silver Locket” finishes its rollout? Does UK critical attention translate into a European festival slot for summer 2027?
