Ethan Burdick has signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for worldwide representation in live music and touring, with agent Marissa Smith leading the relationship.

Burdick, who’s from Vancouver, Washington, relocated to Nashville last year after Back Blocks Music founder and CEO Rakiyah Marshall discovered him on TikTok Live. He got his start playing drums in marching and jazz band and cites Lizzy McAlpine, Noah Kahan, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Bieber as influences.

His debut single, “I Get The Picture,” released in April, generated over five million TikTok views ahead of its release, landed on SiriusXM Hits 1’s playlist, earned him a spot as one of the channel’s Hits 1 To Watch artists, and put his name on a Times Square billboard.

His second single, “Hold You,” followed last month. This summer he opened for Jelly Roll on the “Little Ass Shed Tour,” and this fall he’ll join Hudson Westbrook’s “Hits Me Tour.”

Lewis called Burdick “the future,” pointing to songs that are heartfelt but still catchy.

The signing lands Burdick on a UTA global touring roster that’s stayed busy through 2026. The agency recently added Grammy winner Laufey for global representation as her arena tour keeps selling out, signed pop artist Marina for worldwide representation in live music and touring, and picked up Nashville bass producer AYCH for North and South America representation.

Burdick remains with Back Blocks Music for management — the same Nashville roster that includes Tucker Wetmore and Ashley Cooke.

Takeaways

Nine months after inking with Back Blocks Music, Burdick already has a global touring team behind him, a sign of how fast his TikTok-fueled momentum has turned into real industry weight.

Having a UTA partner alongside a dedicated agent on the deal suggests the agency sees more here than one viral single. And slotting him onto tours with Hudson Westbrook and Jelly Roll hints at exactly where UTA plans to build his live business first.

Will Burdick’s next release keep pace with “I Get The Picture,” or was that TikTok run a one-time spike? Could a headlining tour follow once the Hudson Westbrook dates wrap up? Does this add Burdick to a growing pattern of UTA snapping up TikTok-discovered artists?
