Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer MNEK has signed with 1916 Enterprises for management, with Ruchir Mohan, Partner at the company, taking him on as a client.

The deal lands as MNEK preps his second studio album, Bulldozer!!, out September 18, and heads into THE!! BULLDOZER!! TOUR!!, a 15-date run across the UK and Europe this November and December, his first full headline tour since 2019. He also recently signed a new publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing.

Over the past decade, the South London native (born Uzoechi Emenike) has built one of pop’s deepest songwriting catalogs, penning cuts for Beyoncé (“Hold Up,” “Sorry”), Dua Lipa (“IDGAF”), Selena Gomez (“A Sweeter Place”) and Zara Larsson (“Never Forget You,” “Ain’t My Fault”).

This year alone brought a second Grammy nomination for co-writing Larsson’s “Midnight Sun,” a main-stage slot at Mighty Hoopla, and a headline set at Pride in London in July.

He continues to be booked by THE·TEAM (formerly Wasserman Music) for touring worldwide, excluding Europe and the UK.

Mohan said the team is thrilled to welcome an artist whose stamp on pop is already undeniable and sees this next chapter as potentially his biggest yet.

For Mohan and 1916, the signing extends a fast-moving run. Since launching the company’s Management & Services Division in 2025 with Tommy Genesis, LOVELI LORI and gavn!, Mohan doubled the roster in March with Alexander Stewart, QKReign, and Her Blood, and separately co-leads a publishing joint venture that landed Grammy-nominated songwriter James Maddocks.

With 1916 spanning management, publishing, records, film/TV, and investments, MNEK’s next era comes with more infrastructure behind it than any prior point in his solo career.

Takeaways

After more than a decade as pop’s most in-demand behind-the-scenes songwriter, MNEK is stepping back into the spotlight as an artist, and doing it with a bigger machine behind him than ever before.

The timing is notable: MNEK hasn’t had a manager on record for a while, and this deal comes together right as he has an album, a tour, and a new publishing deal all landing in the same stretch.

Keep an eye on Ruchir Mohan. He joined 1916 in 2023, was promoted to Partner this year, and is now stacking name-brand signings (MNEK, Alexander Stewart, QKReign, Her Blood) on top of a publishing joint venture that’s already landed Grammy-nominated writers.

Does new management arriving right before a big rollout suggest 1916 sees real upside in MNEK’s solo career, beyond his songwriting résumé? Can 1916 give MNEK’s comeback era the attention it needs?
