- MARiMARi has signed with independent live music agency LOLA. Artists for live music and touring representation.
- She continues with Scruff of the Neck for management, the Manchester company that has backed her grassroots rise.
- The deal lands as she promotes "MARi GO ROUND," her newest release.
Liverpool-based artist MARiMARi, who makes music for “eyeliner emo kids with a sugary pop addiction,” blending influences from Paramore, J-pop, and Charli XCX with a Japanese-British perspective, has signed with LOLA. Artists for live music and touring representation.
Founder Jamie Wade launched LOLA. Artists in October 2025 as an independent live agency built on trust and long-term artist development, after more than 20 years in the live industry, most recently at X-Ray Touring.
The agency launched with a roster including Kate Nash, We Are Scientists, Connie Constance, Tennis, The Futureheads, Badly Drawn Boy, and Binki, and has since expanded to more than two dozen acts, evidence of an aggressive build-out phase for the young agency.
MARiMARi’s shows have run largely through Scruff of the Neck, the Manchester record label, publisher and promoter built around artist development, concert promotion and touring, which has staged her Rough Trade Liverpool and Northern Quarter Takeover shows. That management relationship stays intact.
The timing tracks with her most active stretch yet. She recently unveiled “MARi GO ROUND” and was featured by Skopemag as a Liverpool-based Japanese-British alt hyperpop artist introducing the project. It follows her “Make Out City” EP, a March 2025 single “FIRST CLASS,” a Camden Assembly headline show, a BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative feature, and a support slot for Allie X.
The signing fits a broader summer pattern of UK agencies moving fast on rising touring talent: Lois recently joined 13 Artists for worldwide representation excluding North America, while grime and bassline MC Asher signed with Clockwork Artists for UK touring.
Takeaways
This is a “keep the foundation, add the specialist” move; MARiMARi isn’t restructuring her team, she’s filling the one gap (agency representation) that was missing while Scruff of the Neck keeps steering the bigger picture.
For a still-independent agency like LOLA., landing an artist with genuine online traction and festival-circuit momentum is a strong signal it’s punching above its ten-month age.
Does a dedicated touring agent push MARiMARi onto UK festival lineups faster than her grassroots run alone? Will LOLA. Artists lean further into hyperpop-adjacent talent, or was this a one-off fit? Is “MARi GO ROUND” the project that takes her beyond the North West’s alt scene?
