Both players will wear the Oura Ring 5, the brand’s smallest ring to date, to track sleep, travel, and recovery data through the hard-court swing.

Gauff, currently the WTA’s world No. 4 and a two-time Grand Slam singles champion (2023 US Open, 2025 French Open), said the ring helps her “listen” to her body between matches.

Fritz, ranked No. 8 after winning his 11th career ATP title at last week’s Washington Open, called its data useful for keeping a “sustainable” routine over a long season.

Neither player has partnered with OURA before. For Gauff, it adds to a packed 2026 that already included a New Balance x Miu Miu Wimbledon campaign. For Fritz, it follows a May run fronting the nationwide launch of STORM Energy alongside Sloane Stephens and Morgan Riddle.

The signing extends OURA’s rapidly expanding sports portfolio. The brand named Harry Kane and Declan Rice as global ambassadors in June. OURA also holds a five-year deal as the first official wearable partner of the USTA and US Open, plus ties to U.S. Soccer, Team USA, Team Finland, and the LA28 Olympics.

The campaign kicks off this week with a digital takeover in The Athletic featuring Fritz, LinkNYC placements across New York City, and print ads in The New York Times.

Gauff’s storyline centers on Atlantic Community High School, her family’s alma mater, while Fritz’s follows his path from the court toward entrepreneurship.

Takeaways

This deal fits a clear pattern: OURA isn’t just chasing star power, it’s building a bench of athletes who can speak to recovery and longevity with credibility, not just visibility.

Landing two Americans ahead of their home Grand Slam is also smart timing, tying the brand to the US Open news cycle for weeks.

And for Gauff and Fritz, aligning with a “science-first” wellness brand reinforces a professional, longevity-minded image regardless of how the tournament plays out.

Does pairing tennis’s two biggest active American names with OURA change how fans view wearable tech in sport? Will OURA’s US Open tie-in push rival wearable brands to chase Grand Slam sponsorships too?
