Mentored by Detroit’s Belleville Three: Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson, Pullen has spent over three decades as a central figure of the city’s second wave of techno, founding Blackflag Records in 1998.
His momentum has continued into 2026 with his debut on Defected’s sister label DFTD, “I Wanna Dance,” which followed his first-ever appearance at Defected Croatia in 2025.
