The Faded Dark Spot Peel Pads are a one-step exfoliating treatment built with a multi-acid blend and retinol, meant to visibly smooth skin after one use and fade discoloration within about a week.

Topicals instructs users to swipe a single pad across the face and neck, skip the rinse, and follow up with its Faded Brightening Serum on alternating days. The pads come in a 12-count pack, sold through Topicals’ site and Sephora.

The pairing keeps a pattern going for the brand: in 2024, Topicals tapped rapper Flo Milli, alongside models Nao and Sukii Baby, to front its Faded Brightening & Cleansing Bar.

Founded by Olamide Olowe in 2020, the brand has built its identity on pairing dermatologist-tested formulas with culturally resonant faces.

This is JT’s first campaign with Topicals, but it drops amid one of her busiest brand stretches yet. Weeks earlier, she starred alongside DJ Khaled and Azzy Milan in SNIPES’ “Pull Up Fresh” back-to-school campaign, and in late July she teamed up with Italian label Supplier Earth on a limited-edition flip-flop heel collection capped at just 250 pairs.

She remains the face of Flower by Edie Parker’s “High in the 305” cannabis campaign and has previously worked with MAC Cosmetics and KISS Colors & Care.

On the music side, JT is prepping her first major solo project since 2024’s City Cinderella, including a new collaboration with UK rapper Little Simz titled “Game On.”

Takeaways

Topicals keeps leaning on hip-hop’s leading women to sell its Faded line; pairing dermatologist-tested treatments with artists like JT and Flo Milli turns clinical skincare into an everyday glam staple instead of a chore.

For JT, this deal slots into a summer where she’s barely stopped moving between brand rooms (cannabis, footwear, streetwear, and now skincare), all while prepping new music. “Rapper” is quickly becoming just one line on an increasingly stacked resume.

Does casting rappers over dermatologists change how younger shoppers trust a skincare brand? Could Topicals’ rapper-led Faded campaigns become the brand’s signature marketing playbook going forward?
