Stephen Curry has popped up in Google Pixel’s newest ad campaign, “Reclaim the Moment,” which launched today alongside the Pixel 11 at the Made by Google event.

The campaign’s debut spot, titled “Uninterrupted,” was created in-house by Google and directed by Craig Gillespie of MJZ. It shows two friends catching up at a coffee shop while a growing crowd gathers outside the window, each person acting out a different phone notification: a missed call, a friend request, a campaign donation ask.

Curry cameos as the sports-alert interruption, hollering by the window before the crowd’s attention shifts to a woman with a baby, whose knock triggers the Pixel 11’s flash to alert one of the friends about a real, urgent call.

The ad is built around the Pixel 11’s new “HiLight” feature, which lets users choose to stay reachable only by specific contacts, filtering out the digital noise everyone else in the ad represents.

Google says the campaign falls under its broader “Ask More of Your Phone” platform, launched in 2025, with more spots covering concerts and vacation planning set to roll out over the coming week.

This isn’t Curry’s first rodeo with Google. He’s been a Pixel brand partner for years, and in August 2025 the two sides announced a long-term, multi-pronged partnership spanning Google Health, Google Pixel, and Google Cloud.

That relationship deepened in May 2026, when Curry partnered with Google Health to co-design the Fitbit Air Special Edition, serving as the company’s Performance Advisor and helping shape its Gemini-powered Health Coach.

Curry’s endorsement calendar has stayed busy elsewhere too. In June, he signed a 10-year partnership deal with Li-Ning, ending his 13-year run with Under Armour and expanding Curry Brand into basketball, athleisure, and golf.

Curry isn’t the only star Google is leaning on this year. WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson teamed up with Google Pixel for a campaign shot at WNBA Live’s “Hoop Dreams” activation during All-Star Weekend, part of Pixel’s growing roster of athlete ambassadors built around its AI camera tools.

With the Pixel 11 now official, expect Google to keep leaning on recognizable faces to sell the phone’s “boundary-setting” pitch to a distraction-fatigued public.

Takeaways

Google isn’t just selling a new phone here; it’s selling relief from your phone, and Curry’s star power lends credibility to that oddly self-aware pitch.

Notably, Curry isn’t the lead in this spot; he’s a background gag. That says something: he’s now embedded so deeply in Google’s ecosystem (Health, Pixel, Cloud) that even a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo counts as a partnership beat.

Pair that with A’ja Wilson anchoring Pixel’s WNBA push, and Google looks to be building a genuine athlete bench rather than chasing one-off deals.

Does casting Curry in a quick cameo say more about Google’s ad strategy than giving him a starring role would? With Curry now tied to Pixel, Fitbit, and Google Health simultaneously, is he becoming Google’s ambassador for life?
