Vanessa Hudgens and EKOUAER are back in business together. On August 5, the sleepwear and lifestyle apparel brand launched its Back-to-School Knit Collection, the latest chapter in the pair’s “My Comfort Era” campaign, which first launched July 1 when Hudgens signed on as EKOUAER’s official Brand Friend.
The new capsule targets a very specific problem: the wardrobe scramble that hits working mothers every August. It features two knit sets.
The first, a Waffle-Knit Shorts Set, is made from a stretchy 95% polyester and 5% spandex blend with side pockets and an elastic waistband, designed for school runs, remote work mornings, and quick errands.
The second, a Cap-Sleeve Wide-Leg Trousers Set, uses a tri-blend of 48% viscose, 28% polyester, and 24% nylon for a more polished look suited to video calls and in-person meetings. Both pieces are available now through EKOUAER’s website and Amazon.
The drop keeps Hudgens busy on the brand front this year. In May, her children’s lifestyle brand, A Star Is Born, signed licensing deals with Centric Brands and Jay Franco & Sons, with retail set for 2027.
Her wider endorsement history includes apparel names like AllSaints and Bongo, plus Caliwater, the cactus-water brand she co-founded.
She’s not the only star leaning into comfort-first branding this year. Cara Delevingne recently fronted rag & bone’s fall 2026 campaign, while Sydney Sweeney took on a similar lane fronting Syrn’s lingerie campaign. Bella Hadid also just wrapped Alo’s Los Angeles pre-fall campaign.
Takeaways
EKOUAER isn’t just renting Hudgens’ face for a season; it’s building an ongoing capsule strategy around her “new mom” narrative, dropping product in waves rather than a single campaign burst. That’s a longer-term bet than most celebrity tie-ins attempt.
Does a multi-drop structure like this build more brand loyalty than a one-off campaign? Is “working mom” messaging becoming its own lucrative marketing category in 2026? Could this be EKOUAER’s springboard from an Amazon-native label into a recognized celebrity-backed brand?
