  • Squid guitarist Anton Pearson has signed with ROAM for worldwide live music and touring representation, excluding North America, on his solo project.
  • Sarah Joy, Partner/Agent at ROAM, is leading the deal.
  • The signing lands alongside Pearson's debut solo album Driving Through Belgium, released July 3, 2026 via World of Echo.

Anton Pearson, guitarist for post-punk outfit Squid, has signed with ROAM for worldwide live music and touring representation, excluding North America. Sarah Joy is leading the deal.

The signing follows the July 3 release of Pearson’s debut solo album, Driving Through Belgium, via World of Echo. Built from atmosphere and texture rather than melody, the six-track record grew out of long stretches of touring across Europe and was recorded in a Brighton studio Pearson shares, his first fully solo undertaking in that space. Lead single “Tintinnabulation I” preceded the release.

Within Squid, Pearson is already represented by Joy for the band’s UK and Rest of World bookings, alongside Hoof Management, who continue overseeing his day-to-day career.

ROAM, formed in September 2025 from the merger of ATC Live and Arrival Artists, has kept building its indie and alternative rosters. The agency recently signed Ben Walker for worldwide representation, inked Mindsigh for worldwide representation excluding North America, and brought Norwegian dream-pop act Yndling into the fold under a similar excluding-North-America deal.

Takeaways

This is ROAM formalizing something that was already informally in place. Pearson’s band has been in Sarah Joy’s orbit for years; wrapping his solo work into that same relationship is a low-friction move rather than a new bet on an unproven artist.

It also shows how agencies are increasingly signing side projects and solo ventures from band members separately, treating them as distinct commercial entities worth their own paperwork.

Does a dedicated solo booking deal signal Pearson plans to tour Driving Through Belgium independently of Squid’s schedule? Could this open the door for other Squid members to pursue similarly structured solo deals?
