The Oxford, Mississippi indie rock outfit first broke through with a self-titled EP that Interscope Records reissued via its Tiny Evil imprint in 2006, a release that led to tour dates with Brand New and festival slots at SXSW, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
The band’s 2008 full-length debut, Plunder, Beg and Curse, arrived on Fat Possum Records and earned them a “Best New Band from Mississippi” nod from the Boston Phoenix.
A second album, The Cradle, followed on Dualtone Records in 2010. The original EP, a perennial fan favorite, has since become a sought-after collector’s item on vinyl.
Ellis joined GCT’s New York office in 2023 from APA, arriving with a roster that includes Manchester Orchestra and New Found Glory, among others.
