The prolific character actor currently stars in season two of Netflix’s Beef, opposite Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, playing a self-serving older man who marries a millennial. He also recently played the vampire Jasper in AMC’s Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order.
Fichtner is now shooting MGM+’s Bosch: Start of Watch, playing a defense attorney turned power broker in L.A.’s criminal underworld, and will next appear in Apple TV+’s limited series Lucky alongside Annette Bening and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Over three decades, Fichtner has built a résumé defined by range rather than typecasting, with credits including Armageddon, The Perfect Storm, Black Hawk Down, Crash, The Dark Knight, Heat, and The Longest Yard, plus franchise turns in The Lone Ranger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Independence Day: Resurgence.
