Darren Mann has signed with Paradigm Talent Agency for Film/TV theatrical representation. The Canadian actor will be handled by agents Dan Baron, Elizabeth Wiederseim, and Jim Dempsey, marking a significant agency shift from his previous home at WME.
Mann rose to wide recognition as Jack Dutton (the earnest son of John and Emma Dutton) in 1923, the hit Yellowstone prequel that streamed on Paramount+ and ran for two seasons between 2022 and 2025. He held his own opposite legends, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
Before 1923, Mann logged a dozen episodes on TNT’s Animal Kingdom, playing the younger version of Scott Speedman’s character Baz. His TV credits also include Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix, Van Helsing on Syfy, Wayward Pines on Fox, and Supernatural on The CW.
On the film side, Mann was most recently seen in The 8th Day opposite Phoebe Tonkin, and is also known for The Minute You Wake Up Dead alongside Morgan Freeman, Cole Hauser, and Jaimie Alexander, as well as Breakwater with Dermot Mulroney.
His breakout feature, Giant Little Ones, earned him the Best Actor prize at the 2019 Leo Awards, a career-defining milestone that put him firmly on the map.
The signing is part of Paradigm’s continued push to build out its theatrical roster with established on-screen talent. The agency recently signed The Madison star Beau Garrett and Will & Grace star Debra Messing, and earlier signed British actor Guy Burnet for US Film/TV representation.
Mann continues with Webster Talent Management for representation in Canada and Principal Entertainment LA for US management.
Takeaways
This move says a lot about where Darren Mann sees his career heading. After wrapping two full seasons of one of Paramount+’s biggest shows, trading WME for Paradigm isn’t a lateral move; it’s a strategic one.
Paradigm has been quietly assembling a who’s-who of prestige TV and film talent, and Mann fits that vision squarely. With a three-agent team covering him, this is a high-touch signing, not a routine roster add.
The fact that he’s keeping Principal Entertainment LA and Webster Talent Management in place also signals stability; he’s not blowing up his team, he’s upgrading his agency firepower heading into what could be a pivotal post-1923 chapter.
Does Mann’s 1923 run, and the franchise goodwill that comes with it, make him an easy sell to major studios, or does breaking out of a beloved ensemble require a complete reset? What does Paradigm’s pattern of signing post-peak-franchise TV actors tell us about where the agency believes the next wave of Hollywood heat is coming from?
