Harrisburg, Pennsylvania metalcore outfit What Lies Below has signed with Sound Talent Group (STG) for worldwide booking representation, excluding Europe and the UK.

Matt Andersen and Morgan Lubner will co-handle the live music and touring department for the band going forward, taking over from Standout Touring, who previously booked the group.

Formed in 2020, What Lies Below built its name with the 2021 EP Destinations, which earned “Underground Release of the Year” honors on Reddit’s metalcore community.

The band spent much of 2025 on the road, including a run supporting Asking Alexandria and From Ashes to New across stops in Arkansas, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Fans are currently anticipating the band’s debut full-length album, I Let It Consume Me, out July 10 via Theoria Recordings.

The move adds What Lies Below to a growing wave of heavier and alternative acts landing at STG this year. The agency recently brought on pop/punk group All In Ur Head for representation, and metalcore acts Four Year Strong and Synestia also joined the roster earlier this year. STG’s alt/indie expansion has continued too, with Mind’s Eye signing on for booking representation back in February.

For a band that’s spent years grinding the DIY and mid-tier support circuit, landing with an agency known for shepherding acts like Killswitch Engage and Sum 41 signals a clear intent to scale touring operations heading into 2026 and 2027.

Takeaways:

This signing fits a pattern: STG has been quietly cornering the heavier end of the touring market this year, and What Lies Below is the latest proof point. Pairing two agents, Andersen and Lubner, on one act suggests the agency sees real festival and support-tour upside here.

Could this be the moment What Lies Below breaks out of the support-act tier? Does this signing set up a bigger 2026 support slot or festival run for the band? Why carve out Europe/UK specifically, and does that hint at a separate international deal in the works?
