Megan Thee Stallion is putting her signature on a new category: fragrance. The three-time Grammy winner announced Hot Girl Summer Eau de Parfum on July 1, a unisex scent developed in partnership with beauty giant Coty.

This is her first entry into perfume, and it lands just weeks after she fronted NYX Professional Makeup’s Caramelt Mami body oil campaign, signaling how deep she’s leaning into beauty as a business lane.

“Perfume is the last thing you put on, but it’s the first thing people remember,” Megan said in a statement, adding that the launch let her “capture” her own scent identity for fans who’ve long asked what she wears.

The limited-edition parfum blends creamy coconut milk, orchid blooms and warm vetiver, packaged in a sculptural, flame-shaped bottle meant to echo her “Hot Girl Summer” energy.

Early access opens July 5 in 90 ml and 10 ml sizes exclusively through Ulta Beauty’s website and MeganTheeStallion.com, with a broader online rollout July 8 and Ulta store shelves following July 11.

The scent adds to a fast-growing lifestyle portfolio that already spans music, fashion and food, from her Popeyes collaboration to her Hot Girl Summer swimwear line with Walmart.

On the music front, Megan recently confirmed she’s securing a “big budget” for her upcoming Act III album, following 2024’s Megan, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. She’s also kept a busy public schedule, recently returning to Love Island as a guest for its current season.

On Coty’s side, the company has a deep bench of celebrity fragrance partnerships, including past and present collaborations with stars like Halle Berry, Shania Twain, and Tim McGraw.

Takeaways

This launch shows Megan treating “Hot Girl Summer” less like a catchphrase and more like a full consumer brand, fragrance is simply the newest shelf.

Partnering with Coty, a fragrance heavyweight behind names like Calvin Klein and Burberry perfumes, gives her instant retail credibility and Ulta’s massive beauty footprint out of the gate.

Does a flame-shaped bottle and coconut-orchid-vetiver blend feel distinct enough in a crowded celebrity fragrance market? Could this fragrance deal be a stepping stone toward a longer-term beauty line beyond a limited edition?
