Previous Company: WME (William Morris Endeavor)

- Ms. Lauryn Hill has signed with CAA for worldwide representation outside of North America, with industry veteran Tony Goldring serving as her agent.
- Hill will maintain her longstanding relationship with WME in North America.
- The signing follows a successful year of touring, with sold-out Canadian Artist in Residence shows and major festival performances at Essence Festival of Culture and Jazz in the Gardens.
Ms. Lauryn Hill has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for representation worldwide excluding North America, the agency announced.
Under the new arrangement, the legendary artist will be represented by Tony Goldring, who recently departed William Morris Endeavor (WME) after more than two decades to join CAA’s global touring division.
Goldring, who most recently led WME’s International Touring division, brings extensive experience in developing global touring strategies for major artists including Rihanna, Shakira, Pitbull, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, and Justin Timberlake.
Hill will continue to be represented by WME in North America, effectively creating a dual‑agency structure to maximize both local and international opportunities.
The signing comes on the heels of Hill’s Artist in Residence Canadian tour, an intimate eight‑city run from November 19 to December 19, 2025, that saw her perform in theatres and auditoriums across Winnipeg, Vancouver, Hamilton, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa.
The tour marked her return to the stage following a high‑visibility set at Essence Festival in early July, where she reasserted her status as one of music’s most enduring voices.
Throughout her career spanning three decades, Hill has been strategic about her business partnerships and representation, working at various times with major agencies such as WME and now CAA, as well as smaller management and touring teams.
Following her departure from The Fugees and achieving massive success with her Grammy-winning 1998 solo album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” Hill has maintained careful control over her brand and artistic direction.
On the endorsement front, Hill has been notably selective, favoring a small number of high-impact partnerships rather than a wide slate of commercial deals.
Early in her solo career, she collaborated with Levi’s and Armani on tour-related fashion partnerships, and more recently she has worked with Louis Vuitton on a performance-driven collaboration.
Hill’s addition to CAA’s roster is a major coup, especially alongside Goldring’s move from WME, further strengthening the agency’s rapidly expanding music division and position in the R&B and hip-hop markets.
She now joins a roster that includes Beyoncé, Drake, Kanye West, Usher, Cardi B, A$AP Rocky, Lil Baby, H.E.R., The Pussycat Dolls, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, and Q-Tip. The agency also represents global touring headliners such as The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, and Bruce Springsteen.
Takeaways:
This representation shift suggests Hill may be positioning for a more robust international touring presence in the coming years. The dual‑agency setup suggests Hill and her team are looking to optimize both legacy and future opportunities, honoring what she has built in North America while expanding her global footprint under a refreshed touring strategy.
Hill’s arrangement reflects a broader industry trend where top artists work with multiple agencies to maximize opportunities across different territories. This approach allows artists to benefit from specialized expertise while avoiding conflicts of interest.
Tony Goldring’s transition from WME to CAA, bringing Hill with him, signals the ongoing competition among major agencies for top talent and the value placed on experienced executives who maintain strong artist relationships.
Will this expanded international representation finally lead to a full-scale world tour, or will Hill continue her selective, intimate performance strategy globally? Does this move suggest that veteran R&B and hip-hop artists are finding renewed commercial viability in international markets as global streaming continues to expand?
