  • G-Unit's Tony Yayo confirmed the comeback earlier this year, months before Reebok made it official.
  • The 1:1 retro drops via Reebok.com and select retailers, including JD Sports, in unisex sizes 3.5–13 plus size 14.
  • This is Reebok's latest music-anchored sneaker move, following 2026 campaigns tied to Karol G, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and K-Trap.

Twenty-three years after it first hit shelves, the Reebok G-Unit G6 is coming back. Reebok confirmed on August 15, 2026, that it is reissuing 50 Cent’s signature sneaker in its original red, white, and blue colorway, with a release set for August 20 through Reebok.com and select retailers.

The 1:1 retro sticks close to the 2003 original: a white leather and grey suede upper, a tri-color heel tab, blue “G-Unit” embroidery on the lateral heel, and an icy rubber outsole. It will sell for $130 in unisex sizes 3.5 through 13, plus size 14.

G-Unit member Tony Yayo tipped off fans about the reunion earlier this year, months before Reebok made it official.

50 Cent called the sneaker part of a special chapter in his career and said its lasting impact on sneaker culture made now the right time to bring it back for longtime fans and a new generation. Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky said the partnership helped define an important stretch of the brand’s history.

The G6 launched in 2003 alongside 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and became one of hip-hop’s defining sneaker crossovers, reportedly outselling Jay-Z‘s rival S. Carter line and generating close to $80 million for 50 Cent at its commercial peak.

The relaunch also fits into Reebok’s wider music-driven comeback. The brand has spent 2026 leaning on artists to power its Classics revival, naming Karol G global ambassador for its “Born Classic. Worn Together.” campaign, tapping R&B star PARTYNEXTDOOR for an earlier “Born Classic. Worn for Life.” chapter, and enlisting UK rapper K-Trap to front “The Give Back” film series in London.

Bringing 50 Cent back into the fold ties Reebok’s current roster to the sneaker deals that shaped its early-2000s identity.

Beyond sneakers, 50 Cent stays busy: he fronted DoorDash’s “The Big Beef” Super Bowl LX campaign in February and struck a $100 million Planet Hollywood partnership in March to open the PH Live entertainment venue in Times Square.

Takeaways

This isn’t just a nostalgia play; Reebok pulling 50 Cent back into the fold shows the brand sees real commercial upside in reviving artist-era sneakers, not just chasing a viral throwback moment.

Slotting the G6 next to campaigns from Karol G, PARTYNEXTDOOR and K-Trap suggests Reebok is stitching together a cross-generational sneaker lineup rather than running a one-off flashback.

For 50 Cent, the timing lands during an active stretch of dealmaking, a sign that more than two decades in, he’s still one of hip-hop’s most bankable brand partners.

Does the G6’s return signal a bigger wave of early-2000s hip-hop sneaker revivals across other brands? Could Reebok bring back more of the original G-Unit line, like the G XT or G6 Runner, if the G6 sells well?
