Kevin Abstract Stars in UGG’s Latest Tasman Flex Marketing Campaign

Celebrity Name:Kevin Abstract
Brand:UGG
Deal Type:Brand Campaign — Face of Tasman Flex Menswear Push
Announced:August 14, 2026
  • UGG has named Kevin Abstract the face of its new Tasman Flex campaign, shot inside a mid-century California home and styled in the Chestnut and Dusty Orchid colorways.
  • The Tasman Flex strips down UGG's classic Tasman silhouette (no fur lining, unlined suede uppers, a smaller sole) while keeping the sheepskin insole, built for everyday wear. It retails for £150.
  • The push adds Abstract to a stacked 2026 UGG roster that already includes Channel Tres, PinkPantheress, Central Cee, MUNA, and the Dusty Orchid trio of ADÉLA, Molly Santana, and Paloma Sandoval.

UGG has tapped Kevin Abstract as the new face of its Tasman Flex campaign, confirmed August 14 following an interview and shoot with Clash Magazine.

The 30-year-old rapper, singer-songwriter, and director, born Clifford Ian Simpson in Corpus Christi, Texas, and a founding member of Brockhampton, appears throughout the campaign inside a mid-century California home, wearing the shoe in both Chestnut and Dusty Orchid.

The Tasman Flex reworks UGG’s signature Tasman for lighter, everyday wear. It drops the original’s fur lining and bulky sole for unlined suede uppers, wraparound traction, and a slimmer profile, while keeping the sheepskin insole.

Abstract told Clash the shoe felt authentic once he got to set. He also discussed life since Blush, his 2025 curatorial, collaborator-heavy project, and confirmed he’s deep into his next album, which he’s been building since last December, describing the process as newly spiritual.

For UGG, Abstract joins a crowded 2026 roster. Channel Tres originally fronted the Tasman Flex’s launch campaign this summer, while the brand’s broader push has included PinkPantheress ahead of her Coachella debut in a social-first campaign announced this spring, plus Elsa Hosk, Rina Sawayama, Central Cee, and Su Yiming across its spring Tasman collections.

More recently, ADÉLA, Molly Santana, and Paloma Sandoval fronted UGG’s Dusty Orchid collection, the same pink colorway that Abstract wears here, and MUNA fronted a back-to-school campaign tied to a new college ambassador program. UGG has worked with Post Malone, Cher, and Isabela Merced in past cycles.

Takeaways

UGG’s playbook this year has been consistent: skip the single blockbuster ambassador and stack multiple culturally fluent names instead, betting on combined reach over one big face. Abstract fits that pattern squarely, joining a menswear lane already anchored by Channel Tres and Central Cee.

The colorway overlap is notable, too. Abstract wears the same Dusty Orchid pink that fronted a separate campaign with three other artists just weeks earlier, suggesting UGG is now cross-pollinating a single seasonal color across multiple faces rather than tying it to one release.

Is UGG deliberately building a hip-hop and alt-culture wing of its ambassador roster, following Channel Tres, Central Cee, and now Abstract?

– Does dressing a male artist in a colorway launched via a women-fronted campaign hint at a more gender-fluid direction for UGG’s marketing? With Abstract deep in album mode, could a Tasman Flex tie-in extend into music or visuals, rather than staying a standalone ad campaign?
