  • Estée Lauder has named Hailee Steinfeld the face of Glimmer, its new prestige amber floral fragrance with a gourmand twist.
  • The campaign is built around "everyday glimmers", small moments of joy and connection, and leans on Steinfeld's singing voice as much as her acting.
  • Glimmer launches in stores August 6, 2026, priced at $160 for 100ml and $130 for 50ml, rolling out first in the U.S., U.K., and Australia.

Hailee Steinfeld is trading movie sets for perfume counters. Estée Lauder has announced Hailee Steinfeld as the face of Glimmer, an amber floral fragrance with a gourmand twist designed to transform everyday small moments of joy, hope, and connection into a sensorial fragrance experience.

The campaign treats Steinfeld, and her singing voice, as a kind of spark meant to light up the fragrance’s mood.

“Hailee is the embodiment of what Glimmer represents; she is confident, has a contagious sense of joy, and understands the power of connecting with her community,” said Justin Boxford, Estée Lauder’s Global Brand President.

Crafted by perfumers Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, and Jean-Marc Chaillan of IFF, Glimmer blends notes of macaron rose accord, raspberry mousse accord, and vanilla bean, and arrives August 6 priced at $160 for 100ml and $130 for 50ml, with the launch initially focused on the U.S., U.K., and Australia. The campaign rolls out across TV, print, digital, in-store, and out-of-home platforms.

This is Steinfeld’s first-ever tie-up with Estée Lauder, joining an endorsement roster that already includes Armani Beauty and her own ready-to-drink cocktail brand. In April, she fronted Ashley’s new Ashley Luxe furniture line, a deal that leaned heavily on her personal design sensibility rather than just star power.

On Estée Lauder’s side, Steinfeld steps into a roster that recently added Nia Long as the brand’s first North American ambassador, alongside past faces like Ana de Armas and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

Career-wise, Steinfeld remains a force: an Academy Award-nominated actress with credits including Sinners, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and True Grit, with her Disney Animation film Hexed due later this year. As a recording artist, she’s amassed nearly 8 billion streams globally.

The launch also lands amid a broader celebrity fragrance wave, with Selena Gomez recently unveiling Rare Beauty’s second scent, Rare Beginnings. Fragrance is clearly having a moment as the go-to category for celebrity-brand storytelling in 2026.

Takeaways

Estée Lauder isn’t just buying a famous face; it’s betting on Steinfeld’s dual identity as actress and musician to make Glimmer feel like a mood rather than a product. Pairing her singing voice with the scent is a smart way to make an amber-gourmand fragrance feel personal instead of generic.

For Steinfeld, it’s another sign her brand has outgrown “actress who does ads”; she’s becoming a genuine multi-category tastemaker, from furniture to fragrance to her own cocktail line.

Does pairing a celebrity’s actual talent (Steinfeld’s singing) with a product make the endorsement feel more authentic to you? Could Glimmer’s “everyday glimmers” concept translate into future product extensions, like body mist or candles?
