The Railers are an American country music band signed to Warner Brothers Nashville. The band uses instruments like the mandolin, violin, concertina, acoustic guitar, and percussion to create their unique sound. The band considers their biggest influences to be The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Dixie Chicks, Nickel Creek, and Bonnie Raitt. The Railers are made up of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Lawson, Cassandra Lawson (no relation), and Tyler Oban. The first three met at college at Northern Arizona State University where they began to create music together and called themselves Tin Cup Gypsy. In 2004 they moved to Nashville to pursue a music career, and in 2008 Tyler Oban joined the band on drums. They started to slowly gain attention in the Nashville music scene with their eclectic sound.

Sara Evans invited them to open for her on tour in 2010, and in 2012 they were offered a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and a record deal with Warner Music Nashville. That same year, the band changed their name to The Railers. They released an EP in 2012 entitled The Railers: The Geraldine Session consisting of six songs recorded live in one session. Their 2014 single “Kinda Dig the Feeling” peaked at #49 on US Country Airplay and was featured on the television program Nashville.
