When during the booking process should I request for the artist rider to be sent?

Others may have a different view on this, but this is from my experience. Depending on the artist, and size of the show, that usually determines when I ask to see the rider. For shows 20k+, I like to see the rider before putting in an offer as artists at that range tend to have larger riders and expect more. So I’ll ask for the rider after I have confirmed that they have the date open, and are within my budget range. For artists under 20k, I wait until contract phase, as they don’t have that much that will be a big difference to the show.
