Kate Davis, born Kathryn Davis on February 4th, 1991 in West Linn, Oregon is an American singer and songwriter in the genre of pop and jazz. As a child Kate started learning to play music on the violin. In 2009 she attended the Manhattan School of Music with a concentration on jazz and classical music. She then began writing her own music and was soon recognized by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) with an award for new songwriters called the Robert Alan Award.
Kate released her first album in 2009 called Introducing Kate Davis. In 2009 she followed up with the album called A Kate Davis Holiday. In 2010 Kate released a live album called Live at Jimmy Mack’s. In 2014 Kate produced a cover song of Megan Trainor’s single “All About That Bass.” She then opened up for Josh Groban at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia.
