  • Yara Shahidi fronts Jean Paul Gaultier's latest campaign, promoting the brand's Gaultier Divine fragrance line.
  • The new release is called Gaultier Divine Couture, a fruitier, more decadent take on the original scent built around raspberry, meringue, and benzoin.
  • Shahidi has been the face of the Gaultier Divine franchise since its 2023 launch, when she was selected to represent the original fragrance as a celebration of femininity.
  • On the acting front, Shahidi recently joined the cast of Netflix's crypto comedy One Attempt Remaining, alongside Jennifer Garner and John Cena.

Yara Shahidi is back fronting a campaign for Jean Paul Gaultier, this time for the brand’s newly launched Gaultier Divine Couture fragrance.

The French fashion house unveiled the campaign on social media, posting “Gaultier Divine Couture, an extra touch of Jean Paul Gaultier craftsmanship.”

The new scent leans into the gourmand fragrance trend, built around raspberry, meringue, and benzoin, delivering a fruity amber finish. It arrives in a lacquered pink version of the brand’s iconic corset-shaped bottle, this time wrapped in a couture-inspired woven bodice.

This isn’t Shahidi’s first time in the Gaultier universe. She was first selected as the face of the original Gaultier Divine Eau de Parfum in 2023. That collaboration followed Shahidi being spotted in a custom bronzed Jean Paul Gaultier look at the 2023 Met Gala.

Just as Tracee Ellis Ross has built strong brand partnerships through fashion and beauty collaborations, Shahidi continues cementing her status as a luxury brand mainstay.

Beyond Gaultier, she serves as a global ambassador for Dior’s fashion and beauty lines. She also fronted Gucci’s 2025 “Where the Light Finds Us” campaign alongside British actor George McKay.

On the brand side, Jean Paul Gaultier has been aggressively building its celebrity portfolio. BLACKPINK’s Jennie fronted the house’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection campaign.

Takeaways

Shahidi’s return to the Gaultier Divine franchise, now for a third iteration, signals something worth noting: this isn’t a one-off deal.

The brand has clearly found a long-term face in Shahidi, whose values around authentic femininity mirror the fragrance’s positioning.

Pairing her with a gourmand-meets-couture launch also shows Gaultier is chasing a younger, culture-forward audience as it transitions under new creative director Duran Lantink.

Could Shahidi’s upcoming Netflix film One Attempt Remaining open new partnership doors beyond fashion and beauty? What does it say about Gen Z’s influence on luxury fragrance that a brand like Gaultier keeps returning to a 26-year-old activist-actress as its anchor face?
