The Sways have signed with Rounder Records, the storied independent label built around roots, folk, and Americana talent.
The Arizona trio (Kyle Miller, Andrew Tyler, and Adam Bruce) built their following with no label at all, self-releasing their debut single, “I Have Been the Moon,” in July 2025 and a five-track, self-titled EP that September.
The EP’s centerpiece, “Someday We Will Dream About Today,” has amassed more than 25 million global streams and generated over 200 million views across Instagram and TikTok.
Rounder’s Jeanette Porcello (Senior Director of A&R) and Andy Serrao (Chief Creative Officer) said the band’s music is “honest and beautifully crafted”, pointing to the connection The Sways had already built with fans on their own. The band’s label debut single, “All I Ever Wanted Was You,” is available now on all streaming platforms.
The deal leaves the band’s live business untouched: THE·TEAM continues handling worldwide touring representation. This fall, the band joins The Brook & The Bluff as direct support on an 18-date US tour kicking off Oct. 2 in Alabama.
For Rounder, the signing extends a run of folk and Americana additions built on streaming momentum. The label added alt-folk artist Anna Graves in November 2025 off her own viral single, and Oklahoma singer-songwriter Ken Pomeroy released her acclaimed Rounder debut, Cruel Joke, that same year.
The signing lands amid a busy stretch of 2026 label movement. Decca Records signed Elle Limebear as its first contemporary Christian artist in company history, and doom-metal veterans The Obsessed inked a worldwide recording deal with Heavy Psych Sounds Records for a 2027 album.
