  • Liverpool indie-punk quartet The Kairos have signed with Primary Talent International for live music and touring representation, with agent Fergal Looney handling the signing.
  • The band previously held management and booking representation through Solo Music Agency, whose roster includes Blondie, Lady Gaga, and James.
  • The Kairos broke through with their 2023 debut EP Better Late Than Never, which earned BBC Radio 1 and Radio X airplay and led to festival slots at Isle of Wight and a sold-out headline show at Liverpool's O2 Academy.
  • The signing continues a busy 2026 for agent Fergal Looney, who has been on a fresh-talent spree at Primary Talent International.

Primary Talent International has added Liverpool rock outfit The Kairos to its live roster, with agent Fergal Looney officially posting the signing on May 22, 2026.

The four-piece: Tom Dempsey (vocals/guitar), Lewis Chambers (guitar), Owen Forrester (bass), and Sam Bradley (drums), built their reputation the old-fashioned way: relentless gigging across Liverpool venues like The Zanzibar and The Arts Club before their sound, described by Gigslutz as “scuzzed up, fuzzed up Scouse rock ‘n’ roll,” exploded nationally.

Their 2023 debut EP Better Late Than Never, headlined by singles “Thick Of It” and “Trip Through The Night,” earned spins on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X and unlocked festival stages including Isle of Wight, support slots with James and Red Rum Club, and a landmark headline show at Liverpool’s O2 Academy in November 2024. The band is booked for Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington on May 24, 2026.

The band previously operated under Solo Music Agency for booking and management. Their move to Primary Talent follows recent string of signings at the agency, including Sparrow’s worldwide deal and Kerala Dust’s signing earlier in 2026.

Takeaways

Primary Talent International has long been the home of UK guitar music royalty, think Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Wombats, and Wolf Alice, so landing The Kairos on Fergal Looney’s roster puts the band in seriously elite company.

What makes this signing particularly interesting is the timing: the band is heading into 2026 with festival momentum already locked in and a fanbase that’s been built brick by brick on live energy rather than viral moments.

That’s exactly the kind of artist Primary Talent knows how to scale. With Looney clearly on a mission to build out a next-gen indie roster, The Kairos look like one of his most exciting bets yet.

Could this signing signal a debut album announcement and a major UK headline tour from The Kairos in the near future? What does this move mean for The Kairos’ international touring ambitions, could European and global dates be on the horizon now that they have the infrastructure behind them?
