Formed in 1988, Massive Attack are widely credited with pioneering the trip-hop genre. Their debut Blue Lines (1991) and landmark album Mezzanine (1998) both appear on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
The group has sold over 13 million albums worldwide, earned a Brit Award for Best British Dance Act, two MTV Europe Music Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
The duo returned to the live stage in June 2024 after a multi-year absence, playing festivals across Europe including LIDO Festival and Pohoda Festival through summer 2025, and closing the year with South American dates in Colombia and Brazil.
