Washed Out, born Ernest Weatherly Greene Jr. on the 3rd of October 1982 in Georgia is an American songwriter, singer and record producer. With a career that began on MySpace, his early music was dance pop influenced and distorted, a unique sound at the time and let to his two debut EP’s being released in 2009 with an appearance at Pitchfork Music Festival, the artist gained fame when his song Feel it All Around was used as the theme for the television series Portlandia.
Now identified with music that sits within the chillwave music, Washed Out has released three albums the most successful being his second album, Paracosm which reached number three in the US Alternative charts. More recently his album Mister Mellow has been a considerable success, the singles Get Lost and Hard To Say Goodbye have expanded his fanbase.
