Odette is the stage name of the English-born Australian singer and songwriter, Georgia Odette Sallybanks. She was born in 1997, in Bath, England, but soon after her birth, she and her family have moved to Sydney, Australia. Odette is told to write music at the young age of eight, but she did not release her debut single called Watch Me Read You until 2017. Her debut single peaked at number fourteen at the ARIA Hitseekers Singles Chart. The next year, Odette released her debut album named To a Stranger which was charted at number thirteen at the ARIA Albums Chart. Odette was also nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album and Breakthrough Artist – Release at the ARIA Music Awards in 2018.
