Mastodon is a rock band which was formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999. The group is made up of Brent Hinds, Brann Dailor, Troy Sanders, and Bill Kelliher.

In 2006, the group released Blood Mountain which peaked at No. 32 in the Billboard Charts. One of the tracks from the album, Colony of Birchmen, received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2007.

The Hunter which was released in 2011 made it to top 10 of the Billboard 200. Once More ‘Round the Sun made it to Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 6. Mastodon’s latest album is Emperor of Sand which was released in 2017. Popular songs from the said album include “Show Yourself,” “Sultan’s Curse,” and “Steambreather.” In 2017, the band also released the EP Cord Dark Place.
