María Peláez Sánchez, widely known as María Peláe, is a singer and songwriter born in Malaga, Spain, on March 31, 1990. She gained prominence for songs like Que Vengan A Por Mí and Mi Tío Juan. She wrote two finalist songs, Arde and Nobody is saved, to represent Spain in Eurovision.

María has worked with Alba Reig, Las Niñas, Juan Luis Guerra, and Pastora Soler. She has received several accolades, including first prize in the 2011 International Contest of the Autonomous City of Melilla, first prize in the 2012 Andalusian Author Song Contest - Desencaja, and first prize in the 2016 Cantando a la Rivera Cáceres Songwriters Contest.
