Kerry gained attention for her role in Ray and The Last King of Scotland, appeared in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and had a recurring role in Boston Legal. Washington received high praise for her role as Olivia Pope in Shonda Rhimes hit show, Scandal, which she scored several Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.
