Jacob Tobia is an American LGBTQ rights activist, producer, writer, and TV host who was born on August 7, 1991, in Raleigh, North Carolina. After he graduated high school, he attended Duke University where he got a degree in Human Rights Advocacy. His work has appeared in MSNBC, MTV, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian, BuzzFeed, Jezebel, and other publications. He has also served on conference panels and given speeches at Harvard University, Princeton University, Columbia University, and various LGBTQ conferences across the country. Before embarking on a career in television, he worked for the United Nations Foundation, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice. He released his memoir, Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story, in 2019. He is also the voice of the character Double Trouble in DreamWorks' animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
