Goran Dragić was born on May 6, 1986 in Ljubljana, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia. Dragić is a Slovenian professional basketball player who plays either point guard or shooting guard. He was drafted by the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as well as his National Team.

Dragić has two gold medals while representing Slovenia – EuroBasket (2017 Istanbul) and Europe U-20 Championship (2004 Brno). He has other awards – FIBA EuroBasket champion (2017), FIBA EuroBasket MVP (2017), FIBA EuroBasket All-Tournament Team twice (2013,2017), All-NBA Third Team (2014), NBA Most Improved Player (2014), Stanković Cup MVP (2010), Slovenian league champion (2008), Slovenian League All-Star (2006), and Slovenian League Rookie of the Year (2005).
