Godfrey C. Danchimah, Jr. better known as Godfrey, is an American comedian and actor, born on July 21, 1969, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois, where he started performing impressions of his college football teammates. In the early 1990s, he was performing at the All Jokes Aside comedy club in Chicago. Throughout his career, Godfrey has been performing on stages from New York and Los Angeles to Dubai. He has his own one-hour special on Comedy Central, and he also appeared in Zoolander, The Cookout with Queen Latifah, Soul Plane, alongside Snoop Dogg, and the TV series, Upload, alongside Shaquille O'Neal. He is perhaps best known as the 7UP Guy in the beloved 7UP national campaign.
