Gino Vannelli (born June 16, 1952 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian singer and songwriter.

From a musical family, Vannelli got a solid foundation in music and took interest from a very young age. He played drums at a young age and after finishing high school studied musical theory at McGill University. His brother, Joe, served as arranger and keyboardist for most of his recording career. Vannelli moved to Los Angeles, California where he signed with Herb Alpert's A&M Records, and released his first album under the record label in 1973.

Vannelli released seven albums under the label and several singles including, "People Gotta Move" and "I Just Wanna Stop". In 1981, he released Nightwalker on Arista. In 1985, Vannelli signed with Mercury and released Black Cars. He also released Big Dreamers Never Sleep in 1987; Inconsolable Man in 1990, and Live in Montreal in 1992. He then moved to Verve Records and released Yonder Tree in 1995 and Slow Love in 1998. He signed with BMG and released Canto, 2003.

Gino's 1978 song, "I Just Wanna Stop," earned him an American Grammy Award nomination. Vannelli has also received several awards including the Juno Award for Canada's Most Promising Male Vocalist in 1975; the Juno Award for Male Vocalist of the Year in 1976; the Juno Award, Producer of the Year (with his brothers Joe and Ross); Male Vocalist of the Year in 1979; Juno Awards for Recording Engineer of the Year (with brother Joe) in 1986, 1987, and 1991.
