Fred Lee Scruggs Jr., better known as Fredro Starr, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor best known as one of the members of the rap group Onyx. He was born in New York City, New York, United States, on April 18, 1971.
Fredro began his music career in 1988 when he formed the rap group Onyx with Sticky Fingaz, Big DS, and Sonny Seeza. His discography with the group includes the hit singles Slam, Shut ‘Em Down, Piro, Throw Ya Gunz, Raze It Up, Judgment Night, and the albums Bacdafucup, Black Rock, and Triggernometry.
As an actor, Fredro’s filmography includes Save the Last Dance, Torque, Clockers, Sunset Park, Light It Up, Clinton Road, and My Brother, and he has had recurring roles in the TV series Moesha, NYPD Blue, and The Wire.
