Daniel Paul Johns is an Australian musical artist and public personality best known for being the frontman of the Australian rock bands Silverchair, The Dissociates, and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Rock. He was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, on April 22, 1979. In 1992, he formed the rock band Silverchair with Ben Gillies and Chris Joannou. Daniel and his bandmates had a very successful musical career releasing hits like Miss You Love, Tomorrow, Freak, and touring the globe. After the band stopped performing together, he released his first solo studio project Aerial Love EP in 2015. His discography includes the hit singles Modern Conversation, Aerial Love, Cool on Fire, and Preach. He has won multiple awards including an ARIA Music Award for Producer of the Year, Song of the Year at the APRA Music Awards, and Songwriter of the Year at the APRA Awards.
