Afef Jnifen is a model and actor born on November 3, 1963, in Medinine, Tunisia in Tunisia. Her father was a Tunisian ambassador to various Middle Eastern Countries. In 1988, she left Tunisia to seek better opportunities and started modeling in Paris, France. She would then moved to Italy and became its citizen in 1992. Alongside her modeling career, Jnifen began hosting several shows like Le Iene Show and La Grande Notte. For hosting La Grande Notte, she received a Television Oscar in 2007. In 2016, she was one of the judges for Project Runway Middle East. She has also been an ambassador for L’Oreal Paris since 2008. Jnifen uses her platform to combat negative stereotypes and images of Arabs. She became the adviser for former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and briefed him on Arab cultures after Berlusconi made a negative post 9/11 statement. She was named the Goodwill Ambassador for the Middle East for Fashion 4 Development in 2017.
