A Great Big Pile Of Leaves is an indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York. The band was founded by guitarist/singer Pete Weiland and drummer Tyler Soucy. The two are originally from Connecticut but moved to New York in 2007. Soon after, they got together to self-produce and self-release their first two albums, The Fiery Works Vol. 1 (2007) and The Fiery Works Vol. 2 (2008). These albums were released as free downloads on their website and received over 12,000 downloads. They released Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex? in 2010, their first with the help of a record label. They followed that up with two more EPs, BOOM! (2011) and Live From The Living Room (2011). In 2013, they released their second full-length album, You’re Always On My Mind. They have toured with bands like The Front Bottoms, Motion City Soundtrack, and mewithoutYou.
