Ololade "Lolly" Adefope is a British stand-up comedian and actress who specializes in character comedy. She was born on September 14, 1990.
She excelled in school and went on to study English literature in college. She began doing sketch comedy with a group while in college.
She began her creative career as a stand-up comedian, but after receiving excellent feedback for solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015 and 2016, she switched to acting. In 2016 she was nominated for two Chortle Awards.
Adefope has been in the shows Together, Josh, Plebs, Rovers, Sick Note, Ghosts, Miracle Workers, and Shrill. She's also appeared on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, The Last Leg, Don't Ask Me Ask Britain, and QI, among other shows.
Aidy Bryant, the star and co-creator of Shrill, commended Adefope for "how much she can express with just the tiniest movement of her eyes." Her performance in that musical brought her to the attention of a broader public, and she began to get a slew of fresh part opportunities. She was working on a new television program, which she would also star in and a podcast, as of May 2021.
