Cassow is the stage name for the American rapper Jeremy McKinley. He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. McKinley got into rap from a young age because of his uncle. He used rap to help get him through tough times he had growing up. His stage name is an altered version of Picasso’s name, given to him by a friend who claimed he painted pictures with his music. In 2010 he released his debut mixtape at 19 years old titled Mixtape Off to Mars. He followed it up with the mixtapes Head of Class, the French Selects-supported Future Classic, and Cold Winter. He has also released the singles “Lit”, “Muddy”, “Flashback”, “Ex-Bitch”, “Dealership” and others. In 2018 he released his debut full-length album titled Gods of the Young.
