Marcus Tyrone Gray, better known as Flame, is a Christian hip-hop rapper and songwriter, born on September 16, 1981, in St. Louis, Missouri. He has received nominations for Dove, Stellar, and Grammy awards. Flame made his Cross Movement Records debut in 2004 with his self-titled album and received his first Dove Award nomination a year later with the release of Rewind. In 2007, he began a two-album series with Our World: Fallen, followed by Our World: Redeemed, his first Grammy-nominated album, in 2008. With his 2010 album, Captured, he launched his own label, Clear Sight Music.

His 2013 album, Royal Flush, was nominated for a Dove Award for Rap Album of the Year. It featured guest appearances by Ryan Fullerton, Mike Real, KB, and others. Flame released his Stellar Award-winning album, God Knows, under his own label in 2018. Flame's most recent EPs include Extra Nos, DayBreak, and Christ For You.
