Abdel-illa Lamriq (popularly known as DJ Abdel) is a Morocco-born French DJ who was born on June 5th, 1970 in Casablanca, Grand Casablanca, Morocco. He is based in Île-de-France, France and his other nicknames include Divine Soul, DJ Abdal, and Abdel. Abdel releases French hip hop, funk, and pop-rap. He was a member of Double H DJ Crew. Abdel launched his DJ career on the Nulle Part Ailleurs TV show. He later appeared on several French radio stations (Fun Radio, NRJ, FG and DJ Radio) before recording and releasing his C’est Ma Life and Funk You, cracking into the Top 40 in France. Abdel was the first member of the Black Blanc Beur and Positive Black Soul formations. He later collaborated with DJ Cut Killer (also known as double H) to produce 113 French rap band albums.
