Marty Wilde was born on April 15th, 1939 in England, UK. Marty first began performing at London's Condor Club when he was just 18 years old.

In the 1970s, Marty got chart status as a songwriter. He wrote a couple of hit songs for Peter Shelley like: Love my dog and Love me. In the 1980s, Marty wrote a song for Kim Wilde (Marty’s daughter), called Kids In America. Marty also wrote songs with Ronnie Scott.

As a teenager, Marty was very popular amongst listeners. Now 8 consecutive decades later Marty is one of Britain's most successful singer/songwriter on the Official Singles and Albums Charts in the UK.

Marty Wilde got an MBE award for the song Kids in America, his award was handed to him by Queen Elizabeth II.
