Calboy, also known as 147 Calboy is the stage name of the American rapper Calvin Wood. He was born in Calumet City, Chicago on April 3, 1999. He is best known for his song “Envy Me” that peaked at #91 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018 and received millions of streams online. He started rapping at a young age with his brother, but didn’t start his rap career until 2016. Wood uploaded his songs to YouTube and Soundcloud that would receive thousands of streams. In 2017 he released the mixtapes The Chosen 1 and Anxiety that didn’t receive much attention. In 2018 he released the Calboy the Wildboy and the single “Envy Me.” His single became viral online and received over 2.6 million plays and 3 million views on YouTube. That same year he was signed to the label Polo Grounds Music.
