Cosmin TRG is the alias of Cosmin Nicolae Băcilă. Nicolae was born on the 10th of September, 1983, in Victoria, Roumania, before settling in Berlin, Germany. He began his career in the techno/drum & bass scene in Bucharest, before moving to Berlin. Once there his sound started to be heavily influenced by dubstep sounds, which would later be a trademark for him. In 2007, he released his breakthrough single “Put You Down/ Broken Hearts”. He produced records with the labels Tempa, Hessle Audio, and Amsterdam’s Rush Hour during those first years. Nicolae has been praised in the techno/experimental/dubstep scene because of his innovation skills, and shifting styles. His music is particularly well received in the UK, where Nicolae has performed several times in different electronic music festivals.
