Fireflight is an American Christian rock and alternative metal band from Eustis, Florida. The band formed in 1999 with Dawn Michele on lead vocals, Glenn Drennen on rhythm guitar, Wendy Drennen on bass guitar and background vocals, Phee Shrob on drums, Justin Cox on lead guitar, vocals and keyboard with the addition of Adam McMillion who joined the band in 2011. Their first release was titled ‘Glam-Rok’ before embarking on a record deal with Flicker Records. Their first release with Flicker titled ‘Healing of Harms’, turned Fireflight to be the most popular band on Christian radio. The debut peaked on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart at number 37. Fireflight’s second release, ‘Unbreakable’ was a successful follow-up, peaking at number 15 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart. The lead single off the album received a Dove Award nomination. Their next body of work, ‘For Those Who Wait’ was released in 2010 and was Grammy nominated for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. Fireflight’s most recent album, ‘Innova’ was released in 2015 producing another popular single for the band titled ‘Keep Fighting’. The band is still active today and has announced on their social media that new music is coming.
