Coming from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Tonight Alive was formed in 2008. Members James Hardy, Whakaio Taahi, Cameron Adler, Matt Best, and Jenna McDougal became part of the punk-pop music scene in Australia. They started performing around their hometown in Sydney, releasing successful EPs like “All Shapes and Disguises” and “Consider This” in 2010, and “Let it Land” in 2011.

Their major debut was made under Sony Australia, entitled “What Are You So Scared Of?” was released in October 2011. It was able to hit the charts locally and in the US. It was re-released under Fearless Records the following year. Their second full-length “The Other Side” followed in 2013, debuting in the fifth spot in Australian ARIA albums chart and 43rd in the US Billboard 200.
