Brothers by birth, “the Wood Brothers” is composed of Oliver and Chris Wood. Both of them grew in Boulder, Colorado. However, after high school, both parted ways as Oliver went to Atlanta, while Chris went to New York. The period of separation resulted to them discovering their musical skills. Oliver is a guitarist which also has the skills for song-writing, while Chris became a bassist performing alongside John Medeski and Billy Martin for a jazz-funk trio.
The brothers then started performing alongside each other for family gatherings, which later resulted to The Wood Brothers. Under the record label Blue Note Records, The Wood Brothers released “Ways Not To Lose,” their debut album in 2006.
