Run the Jewels is an American rap dup consisting of friends Killer (Mike Michael Santiago Render, born 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) and El-P (Jaime Meline, born 1975, Brooklyn, New York, USA.) The hip hop group released their debut studio album “Run the Jewels” in 2013. Their follow-up albums Run the Jewels 2, 3, and 4 were released in 2014, 2016, and 2020 respectively. Run the Jewels traveled with Lorde on the Melodrama World Tour. They were nominated for a Grammy for best rap song in 2018 for their single “Chase Me” by Danger Mouse, featuring Run the Jewels. Their music video “Nobody Speak” was nominated in 2017 at the MTV Video Music Awards. Run the Jewels won for Best Urban Video – International and Best Editing in a Video for their music video “Love Again” at the UK Music Video Awards. Run the Jewels has been signed with Big Dada Records, Run the Jewels, Inc, Mass Appeal, and Definitive Jux.
